How much do advertisers pay to advertise on blogs?
I’ve seen a blog about a guy who lost 180 pounds and the TV show “The Biggest Loser” advertised on his blog as well as “The South Beach Diet” and some others. They were nice with color and pictures. Anybody know?
Those ads are called banner ads. The blogger, in your question, is possibly an affiliate marketer, he or she may belong to an affiliate network.
As mentioned you can get banner ads from Google Adsense, from Commission Junction, LinkShare and other affiliate networks.
Google adsense analyzes your web site and sends target ads based on the search terms that brings people to your blog. That may be why the ads match the content.
Or the blogger you are looking at, used a banner ad from an affiliate network.
