To connect laptop to LCD tv,should i use a VGA cable or a VGA to DVI adapter connected to DVI-HDMI cable?
i heard that the output with HDMI cable is better than the one with VGA cable. my tv has both VGA and HDMI inputs but my laptop has only VGA port.
HDMI is only better if you start with a digital signal.
Being your computer and TV both have VGA, it makes sense to just use that.
It makes no sense in your case to convert VGA to HDMI and get the same result.
