INDIAN TV CHANNELS GUIDE

INDIAN TV CHANNELS GUIDE
OMFG. My parents won’t get any more channels?

For about 3 years, we’ve only had the basic channels; 2,4,5,7,8,9,11. Then since my grandma came, they got Udaya TV which is an Indian channel and we got Dish Network. With that I thought that there would be more channels in the package but we only have: Food Network, Nick, NickW, NickToon, Animal Planet, ID, ToonDisney and the basics ( 2,4,5,7,8,9,11). Tonight is the MTV Movie Awards and I REALLY wanted to watch. So I went to the guide and I saw that DisneyChannel, MTV, VH1, E! and the other channels i DO watch are in green. So i pressed Select, which said that these channels are available without calling. I saw all these packages (TurboHD, SilverHD etc.) and it said “1 Purchase or 0 Back”. If i purchased it, would it come up on their bill? I’ve tried everything, from even offering to pay for the channels. I don’t understand these people, all of my friends have all the channels they want, but my parents are hell-bent on this. What do I do?

OMFG you’re crying about a show that they don’t want you to watch on a channel they don’t want you watching? Really? Don’t you think that it is their right to say “No, you can’t watch something that I don’t approve of.”? After all they are your parents and cable is expensive, and maybe they have other reasons for saying no. I grew up with “just the basics” and turned out just fine; so will you. Yeah a few of you people might think I am being hard on you and might give a negative rating, but oh well. It would definitely show up on the bill, and if you have already talked about adding them and they have said no then guess what your answer is NO. If you purchased it then you have showed them that they can not trust you at all.
