Just got a new t.v. Can you record the freeview channels on video and if so how?
I just brought a Goodmans 15″ intergrated digital LCD TV model no LD1575D and an ariel to go with it ONE FOR ALL model SV-9141 with booster.
When i tuned the channels in i got 1-4 under ‘TV’ in the menu and a host of digital channels [E4, BBC4 ETC as well as CHANNEL 5 ] under ‘DTV.’
I already own a FUNAI [model DBVR-SS10] DVD/ VCR COMBI which i have had for two years. When i wish to play a dvd or video i have to go to EXT1 in the menu and it will play. However when i wish to record i find i can only record the four channels [ITV1, CHANNEL 4, BBC 1 AND 2.]
How do you record digital channels?
In the menu besides TV, EXT1 and DTV there is a EXT2 which i think is something to do with it but everytime i go on this the screen is blue and sometimes is says “no signal.”
My favourite soap is moving to Channel 5 in February and since i will be coming home from work when it’s to be broadcast i want to record it but i cannot record channel 5 so if can help please get in touch!
Ideally, you would have a Freeview converter/DVR machine that would do it all for you. Read up on that here:
